Sri Gokulam Goshala stands as a beacon of hope for cows

Sri Gokulam Goshala Trust was registered on 03/04/2025 vide registration number 02/IV/2025 with a vision to protect our “Goumata” (mother cow).

In the sacred texts of Hinduism, cows are revered as Gau Mata (Mother Cow) - divine beings symbolizing gentleness, generosity, abundance, and purity. The cow is considered the earthly embodiment of all gods and goddesses. Our trust was born from the urgent realization that these sacred beings, who have served humanity selflessly for millennia, are now facing unprecedented challenges in our rapidly modernizing world.

Our Mission & Crisis

Our Mission

To provide lifelong sanctuary to elderly cows while creating awareness about the importance of cow protection in maintaining ecological balance, cultural values, and spiritual well-being of society.

Through proper nutrition, medical attention, and constant care, we ensure every cow receives the life and dignity they deserve.

By fostering compassion and responsible stewardship, we aspire to inspire a harmonious relationship between humans, animals, and nature.

Current Crisis

The major crisis we face today is the lack of proper shelter. Presently the cows are sheltered at a leased small piece of land.

During rainy season the space congestion causing swamp in the land making Cows more prone to infections and diseases During the summer the excessive heat causing sunstroke Being stagnant in a congested place for a long time is making it difficult for the cows to conceive and causing mastitis infection

Founder 1

Shri Sundilla Banaiah

Founder & President

A dedicated retired officer from Singerani Collieries, Shri Sundilla Banaiah's journey towards cow protection began during his childhood. In his young age he used to help his father in the farm fields. Back in the day his father owned many cows and bulls which were used in the fields. Compassionate motherly natured cows were a part of their life.

However, in his adulthood due to his professional obligations he could not continue the gowseva as he did in his childhood. He witnessed the heartbreaking sight of cows on roadsides in urban localities, their eyes filled with pain and betrayal from the very humans they had served.

After retirement in 2015, instead of settling into a comfortable life, he made a life-changing decision. Using his entire provident fund and pension savings, he leased a small piece of land and purchased the first batch of 12 cows.

Since 2015 when the service was started without any documentation and now after the number of cows reached 158+ unable to bear the crisis, had gone for registration of trust in April 2025, under the name of "SRI GOKULAM GOSHALA TRUST". The trust is formed so that many kind hearted people who have love and affection towards cows can become part of this noble cause by the way they can support within their limits.
